The Blitzball Kid

• Tidus has an ‘X’ scar in Kingdom Hearts, and though I am in the FF Verse, I am keeping it in his headcannon. I’m just saying that it faded away as he got older.

“I’ll get you this time! There’s no doubt!” He stood again, placing the ball in front of him. Walking behind it this time, so that only sea was in front of him, Tidus took a deep breath. The boy told himself he could do this, he would kick it into outer space!

Doing exactly what he had seen his father do, the boy moved to the ball, kicking it in that showy way Jecht liked to do, and finally shot it off the boat and out to sea.

“Take that!”

Tidus was determined now. I mean, he wouldn’t lie to himself right? Standing up again he moved away one more time. “You’re not the boss of me ball!” He shouted. Running at it. 

This time he didn’t miss. However, when he kicked it, it bounced off a wall on the other side of the boat and came back at him, knocking him over.

Walking along, the young boy came upon a blitzball. A smile touched his lips as he ran over to it. “Big me said I was going to be a star one day…” He said to himself, imagining himself being the best Blitz player ever, even better than his dad.

Turning around, Tidus walked a bit away from the ball. He turned to look at it again. “You’ll see! I’ll be awesome!” With a grin the soon to be Blitzball star ran towards the ball, and…

He missed.
